We’re continuing our mission to support women’s cycling in 2022! These past few years we’ve sponsored an array of women’s cycling teams, including Massi-Tactic and their development squad Catema.Cat-Baix Ter. This year we’ll be supporting Canadian UCI Continental team InstaFund, local team Catema.Cat-Baix, and UK Elite team Bianchi HUNT Morvélo!
While we’re a small business we are not yet able to become a cash sponsor, and so each year we offer one free week for each team to spend at La Bruguera for a training camp. The aim, simply to help each team grow, to contribute to their success, and offer what all small in-kind sponsors can give: a leg up to find bigger sponsors. We’ve seen this model work for Massi-Tactic who are now moving on to a cash sponsor by a hotel chain, and we wish them all the best for the future.
While the interest and investment from larger audiences and sponsors is growing for women’s cycling at the top level, there is still a large disparity between the men and women’s teams, and even more so for the smaller women’s teams. Our hope is that by helping in some small way, we can be a part of the change and growth of all women’s cycling.
We are also working with InstaFund, the world’s first professional cycling team to go carbon neutral this season and work on ways in which the team is able to offset and give back to the planet.
We’ll be announcing more about these teams soon, so keep an eye out for more information in the coming weeks!
