Our porch is a storage space with maintenance, repair and washing tools, which you can use to keep your bike always ready. It also has a small laundry area where you can also clean your equipment.
La Bruguera is full of life! If you are a nature and plant lover, our gardens are the ideal place to walk, read, have lunch or simply enjoy the fresh air under the shade of pines, oaks, cypresses, olive trees and linden trees, always accompanied by the soundtrack of magpies, jackdaws, hoopoes and finches, among others.
You’ll also hear the water flowing through a stream that connects small ponds, home to fish and other aquatic species like frogs and salamanders.
What’s more, you’ll find some unique little surprises, such as a bench with a Catalan modernist mosaic-style fountain and an old Spanish phone booth, which we hope you won’t need to use, as it no longer works!
When the heat arrives, there’s nothing like a good swim! That’s why we encourage you to cool off in our salt-water pool, where you can enjoy some quality time outdoors. The 10 x 5 metre pool is fully fenced to ensure safety and has a depth of between 1 and 3 metres. Next to it you will find a bathroom equipped with a shower.
Are you interested in organic farming? Our permaculture management of the estate means we have a mix of different farming systems on the property. From a food forest to an agroforestry system, with chickens and pigs integrated. We grow all kinds of vegetables and fruit trees, which throughout the year give us delicious peaches, mandarins, avocados, oranges, medlar fruit, and figs, among others.
You can also visit Mr. Joan’s traditional vegetable garden, which he has been cultivating for many years and is now part of the house’s landscape.
If you’re interested in art, this is the place for you. In the pavilion, you’ll find an exhibition space showcasing the works of resident artists. The exhibitions, which change periodically, cover topics such as sustainability, waste, degrowth, new feminisms, and new masculinities, reflecting our belief that art is essential for a just eco-social transition.
Mr. Casademont’s former art gallery is now a yoga studio, offering a 64 m2 practice space, a toilet, a bathroom with a shower, a storage area for equipment with a washing machine and dryer, and a covered outdoor cloister surrounding an ornamental pond.
The practice space features a fully mirrored wall and a glass front wall with sliding doors that open out to the forest through the cloister. The ceilings range in height from 2.5 to 4.5 metres, and there are 4 large skylights that provide the ideal lighting for activities, which can be carried out year-round thanks to underfloor heating and portable air conditioning.
Yoga equipment is available for up to 20 people, including mats, belts, cylindrical cushions, small pads, and blankets. Additionally, on a central beam of the ceiling, there are two hooks for acro-yoga practice.
For larger groups with mixed budgets, or for low-impact guests, we offer a small camping area on the north-east end of the property which can be added on to any booking of the main house. This area has space for up to 4 campervans/motorhomes, as well as tents and hammocks, and is fully equipped with a small hut for outdoor cooking, a compost toilet, fresh water and Wi-Fi. Please note: We do not have anywhere to empty chemical toilets.
