General information

What type of tourist accommodation is La Bruguera?

La Bruguera is registered as a holiday villa rental. We hold a Tourist Housing license from the Government of Catalonia and, therefore, we rent the property to groups, but not by individual rooms.

La Bruguera is not a hotel.

Yes. We rent for a minimum of 2 nights from the end of September to the end of June (except during the Christmas and Easter periods, when the minimum stay is 4 nights). From the end of June to mid-September, the minimum is 7 nights.

No, but the smallest rental we offer is the Main House (6 double/single bedrooms). For larger groups, The Studio apartment can be added. The Yoga Studio can also be included.

Check-in is from 4:00 p.m., and check-out is at 10:00 a.m.

Yes! We have a covered and secure space for parking bicycles, as well as repair tools, a bike-washing station, and a database of cycling routes that we’re happy to share. We can recommend bike rental shops, cyclist-friendly cafés and restaurants, and an airport transfer service that accommodates both bicycles and passengers.

Yes! We have 2 cots (with linen and towels included), 2 high chairs, and a booster seat. There are many exciting places to explore for all ages. For the little ones (1-7 years old), we recommend adult supervision in the pool areas, around ponds, streams, garden paths, the forest and near the rescued animals. The pool area is enclosed with gates, and we require that children do not enter without an adult. The animal enclosure is not accessible to the public.

No, we are very sorry, but pets are not allowed at La Bruguera. We have rescued animals on the property who are afraid of dogs, and we have a duty to protect them from unnecessary stress. The only dog you might see is Sky, the gardener’s well-trained dog, who is part of the property’s animal ecosystem.

No. We are animal and nature lovers, and we understand your concern for your pets, but we do have rescue cats, chickens, and pigs that are very sensitive. What’s more, some guests are allergic to animals, so we need to keep the interior spaces pet-free for everyone’s comfort.

These products are supplied so that you do not have to buy items in plastic packaging, and to help us protect our wastewater systems and soil. We encourage guests to use organic products in general to preserve water systems everywhere.

We offer these products for your convenience, to reduce the need for plastic packaging and to help safeguard the ecological balance of our wastewater and soil systems. We encourage all guests to use environmentally friendly products in general, to help preserve water systems everywhere.

Yes! We have excellent well water that is lightly treated to reduce hardness (calcium) and make it 100% drinkable.

Yes, unfortunately, as in all of Spain, the tiger mosquito thrives there. We take many measures to reduce breeding grounds, such as keeping fish in the ponds, installing bat boxes to increase the population, and ensuring there is no standing water on the property. Mosquitoes are most active in the afternoon, evening, and in shaded areas. We recommend bringing mosquito repellent with you.
